Post University team by a 93-80 final. An unyielding Griffin defense frustrated the Pioneers all night long, forcing the visitors into 22 turnovers. th career point with 10:19 remaining in the second half.
After leading 33-27 at intermission, Chestnut Hill College (4-1) quickly increased the halftime gap to 11, 40-29, at 18:46 on a three-point basket from freshman guard
Luke Dickson (Pitman, NJ). Unfortunately, the Pioneers were not yet defeated as they pulled back within a point, 43-42, as the game clock reached 16:27. Senior guard Stefan Bonneau (Middletown, NY) kept the Pioneers afloat by scoring eight points, including two three-point baskets, in the two-minute stretch. From there, the score went back and forth with another Bonneau three-pointer leaving the score at 56-55 Griffins with 11:50 to play. Following two consecutive Pioneer turnovers the Griffins were back in business, grabbing a seven-point lead, 62-55, with Williams' 1,000
th point (10:19). Down the stretch, the Griffins had an answer for every Pioneers play and they eventually added to their advantage and claimed a 13-point victory with game-clinching free throws.
Bonneau led C.W. Post University (2-1) with a game-high, 28 points by hitting 10-of-18 (55.6%) from the floor and 4-of-5 (80%) from the free throw line. He hit 4-of-7 (57.1%) from long range and also grabbed seven rebounds. At the point, senior guard Terry Coleman (Newburgh, NY) provided 16 points and six assists while junior Tobin Carberry (Hamden, CT) led the Pioneers in rebounding with 11 boards. Sophomore forward Vaughn Allen (Mount Vernon, NY) totaled ten points and seven rebounds.

Dan Comas (Philadelphia, PA) led six Griffins in double figures with 16 points. He grabbed six of his team-high, 12 rebounds on the offensive end helping the Griffins prolong possessions and demoralize the visiting Pioneers. He remains five points shy of his 1,000

Alssene Saintilus (Irvington, NJ) combined for 33 points off the Griffin bench. Ashe led the reserves with 15 points, four assists, and three steals, while Saintilus provided timely play with eight points, four blocks, and a steal. Bogans totaled ten points and three steals. Dickson totaled 13 points, eight assists, and four steals as the anchor for the Griffin offense. Williams finished with ten points, two assists, and three steals in his milestone performance and junior guard
Mark DiRugeris Jr. (Woodbury, NJ) netted 14 points to go along with three assists and three steals.
