West Chester, PA – (9/9/2011) – After a tough loss in their opening match to West Chester University, The Griffins were routed in their second match against Stonehill College 0-3(15-25, 11-25, 11-25). The Griffins put all of their effort into the match but it proved to be not enough. Alex DePalma (Shillington, PA) and sophomore middle hitter Mary Markowski led the Griffins with 4 kills apiece. The Griffins fought with extraordinary effort, and showed heart throughout the match. Unfortunately Stonehill went on the attack and ousted the Griffins in straight sets.


The Women's Volleyball team will meet their next opponents C.W. Post and Lincoln University tomorrow at the WCU Tournament. Their first match is at 10:00 A.M. vs. C.W. Post, and wrapping up at 12:00 P.M. with Lincoln University (PA).
