Courtney Gallo (Wilmington, Del.), while the Griffin team defense proved paramount.
Sophomore outside hitter Kadi McCoy (Dallastown, Pa.) and the Goldey-Beacom College (4-14, 0-10) offense struck first on their home court and took the opening set 25-19. However, a cohesive Chestnut Hill College (7-14, 3-7) responded in the second set, leading the Lightning a majority of the frame and putting them away 28-26 with a pair of kills from Biro and freshman outside hitter
Abby Gruver (Coplay, Pa.). The Griffins took the third set with defense, holding the Lightning to a .000 (8K-8E-35TA) hitting percentage and making five team blocks, 25-15. The fourth set was tight the whole way but after a 24-24 tie a Lighting miscue and a finishing kill from junior middle hitter
Mary Markowski (Parkton, Md.), 26-24.
McCoy led all participants with 23 kills as she led the Lightning with a .308 (23K-7E-52TA) hitting percentage, 22 digs, and two blocks. She was flanked by fellow sophomore outside hitter Taylor Moyer (Schuylkil Haven, Pa.) who totaled ten kills and five blocks. The Lightning offense ran through senior setter Monica Dempsey (Secaucus, N.J.) and freshman setter Jamika Townsend (Suffolk, Va.), who combined for 50 assists. Dempsey supplied 32 of them while also contributing six kills, two aces, eight digs, and three blocks to the Lightning effort. Freshman defensive specialist Mackenzie Wilson (Wilmington, Del.) provided 18 digs.
The Griffins received contributions from everyone on the floor. DePalma topped the offensive production with 16 kills on a .208 (16K-6E-24TA) hitting percentage, while a slightly more efficient Biro was close behind with 15 kills on a .265 (15K-6E-34TA) hitting percentage. They both pitched in on defense as well; DePalma completed her fifth double-double of the season with ten digs while also making four blocks, and Biro hustled to three blocks. Senior setter

Abby Gruver (Coplay, Pa.) and eight kills from Markowski. Defensively, Gallo made ten digs, Gruver made 15 digs and a block, and Markowski made five blocks. Additionally, freshman libero Megan Chiovitti (Brighton, Colo.) hustled to 17 digs, freshman defensive specialist
Deanna Bianchini (Blue Bell, Pa.) recorded 14 digs, and junior defensive specialist
Sarah Mattaliano (Coral Springs, Fla.) made ten digs. Mattaliano also spotted two aces.
