Maria Parapouras (Victoria, Australia) recorded each recorded singles victories for the Griffins.

Nastia Shcherbakova (Minsk, Belarus) and sophomore
Kelly Dennis (Cincinnati, OH) played the Firebirds hard in the top doubles flight, but UDC (13-3) came away with a 9-8 (10-8) win over the top Chestnut Hill College (18-5) duo. The Firebirds won both remaining doubles matches and all but number three singles thanks to the determined play of Parapouras. The Chestnut Hill College (8-7) men did not fare any better as Pham earned the Griffins their lone point with a marathon win at number two singles 5-7, 6-3, 7-6 (7-5). UDC (10-2) won all three doubles matches and won the remaining singles matches for the 8-1 win.
