Philadelphia University (9-7-1, 7-4-1) offered the first shot of the affair, but soon after play remained in the midfield. Chestnut Hill College (7-9-2, 6-5-1) was able to generate the most momentum in the give-and-take with Fussen splitting the Ram defense and shooting before being targeted for a successful strike on the rebound touch feed from junior forward

James Jackson (Sewell, N.J.) (7-8-1) as the Griffin defense held off the Rams to a 1-0 halftime advantage. Following intermission, the home pressure continued and forced the Rams into an unfortunate defensive misplay that came just 40 seconds into the period; courtesy of Couillard, 2-0. With the advantage in hand, the Griffins contained the Rams for the remainder of the clock to close the 2013 season on a high note.
A bewildered Ram attack scattered nine shots among eight players with Jackson making fives saves on the only attempts that reach the Griffin goal. Junior goalkeeper Neil Kwiatkowski (Schenectady, N.Y.) made two saves the loss (1-2). Fussen and Amaya each fired four shots atop the Griffins 13-9 shot advantage.
The men's soccer team finishes the regular season with a 7-9-2 overall record and a 6-5-1 CACC standing. Currently sixth in the league, they await seeding for the upcoming CACC Championship Tournament which begins on Monday, November 4 at the home of the higher seeds.
