Gomez Named to the 2025 CACC Men's Soccer All Academic Team

Chestnut Hill College student-athlete Andres Gomez has been named to the 2025 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Soccer All-Academic Team in an announcement made by the conference office on Tuesday.

In order to be eligible for the CACC All-Academic Teams, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, must have been a student-athlete at their current school for at least two semesters, and must have achieved a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 or higher through the preceding semester.  New for 2025-26, honorees must also either compete in at least two-thirds of his/her team's matches or start at least half.

Gomez, is a Business Administration and Management major.  A senior midfielder, Gomez played in 14 of the Griffins' 17 games this season, starting 13 of them.  He is one of 55 student-athletes among the 11 CACC soccer programs to earn all-Academic Team accolades.

A spring 2024 transfer into Chestnut Hill after playing two seasons at Harcum College, Gomez earned the D2 Athletic Directors /Association (D2ADA) Academic Achievement Award for 2024-25 and has earned Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Academic Honor Roll status in each of his four semesters since enrolling at the college.  He has also earned Dean's List honors twice while at Chestnut Hill.

Since joining the CACC for the 2007-08 season, 34 Griffin men's soccer players have been named to the CACC Men's Soccer Academic Honor Rolls a total of 53 times. Five players have earned CACC all-Academic team honors three times while 12 have earned the honor twice.
