Box Score Philadelphia, Pa. - (9/28/2013) – Enjoying a nice change pace, Chestnut Hill College ended this afternoon's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match in three sets as they defeated Post University by a score of 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-21). Sophomore middle hitter

Madison McBride (Long Beach, Calif.) headlined the Griffins offensive production; Biro with a team-high 12 kills and McBride with her ninth double-double of the season.
Chestnut Hill College (4-9, 2-3) came away with the lead on the back end of the first set, as they gradually extended their advantage through Biro, and eventually defeated Post University (1-9, 1-2) by a 25-16 final, 1-0. The Griffins took the second set by the same score, 25-16, this time with McBride hammering home the points, 2-0. The Eagles showed a little more fight in the third set with the lead changing hands six times and tying 17 times in a 25-21 Griffins win, 3-0.
Freshman middle hitter Nicole Brown (Queens, N.Y.) made eight kills, scored an ace, and a block to lead the Eagles effort. Junior setter Julia Slyaktina (Moscow, Russia) offered 21 assists, two aces, and 12 digs. Senior outside hitter Emily Wilman (Perth Amboy, N.J.) helped with seven kills, and ace, and 18 digs.
Biro hit .500 (12K-1E-22TA) and McBride was just behind her in kills, scoring 11, and an ace while hustling to 11 digs. Senior outside hitter
Alexandra DePalma (Shillington, Pa.) was another benefactor of the play of freshman setter
Emily Drew (Ringoes, N.J.), who supplied 35 assists and made seven digs. DePalma finished with nine kills, two aces, and 22 digs. Freshman libero
Regina Trabosh (Norristown, Pa.) made 14 digs and offered two assists to the victory.
The women's volleyball team continues their home stand, but breaks from CACC play to host Mercy College in a 7:00 p.m. contest on Tuesday, October 1.
