Sprint Football Comes to the College on Two Hills

Philadelphia, Pa. - (8/11/2015) – Only 39 days stand between the Griffins and the first Chestnut Hill College Sprint Football season. With nine schools in six states, the Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) will provide the Griffins with an action packed schedule for the fall, including dates with Princeton University (Sept. 19, 12:00 p.m.* & Nov. 6, Away), Mansfield University (Oct. 4, 12:00 p.m.*), Post University (Oct. 10, Away), and Franklin Pierce University (Oct. 23, 7:00 p.m.*) in their inaugural season. Head Coach Mike Pearson takes the reins for the first season, coming off another inaugural stint at Mansfield University from 2011-2014. He served on the Mountaineers' staff for three seasons before taking on defensive back duties with Lock Haven University's National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II Football program in 2014. Pearson currently is an assistant director of athletics for recruitment at the College and also has the responsibility for increasing the exposure of the College and its 20 intercollegiate athletic programs.
