Philadelphia, Pa. - (9/8/2015) – It is time for the Griffins to take to the gridiron. On Saturday, September 19, the Chestnut Hill College sprint football team will host Princeton University in their inaugural home opener. With kickoff set for 12:00 p.m., Chestnut Hill College would like to invite all to be part of GriffinNation and unite for the fight against the Tigers with a day of GriffinPride and football!

Starting with a 10:00 a.m. Alumni Tailgate, graduates of Chestnut Hill College can enjoy giveaways and refreshments while catching up before the opening kick. Not an alumnus? Do not worry; there will be fun for Griffins of all ages. Sponsored by the Chestnut Hill College Student Activities Office, Big Griff will be available at the photo booth while the Chestnut Hill College Cheerleaders travel the parking lot offering face painting, temporary tattoos, and raffle tickets for a $1,000 halftime giveaway!
 
For those who wish to don the scarlet and gold themselves, free t-shirts will be provided to the first 650 fans who enter the stadium, along with other promotional items to help cheer on our 172-pound superstars. For those on campus, a continuous shuttle will be available for transportation to and from the football game.
 
Provided by Chartwells, the GriffinGrill will offer plenty of Griffin-themed refreshments throughout the tailgate and inaugural game. Post-game, all are invited to Brittingham's of Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania, "The Official Restaurant of GriffinNation", for Coach Pearson's postgame interview with ESPN Williamsport, who will be providing a live audio broadcast of the Griffins' games throughout the season.
