Box Score | Philadelphia, Pa. - (4/16/2016) – Winding down the regular season and gearing up for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II East Regional that lies ahead, Chestnut Hill College visited St. Joseph's University for an afternoon match today. The Hawks first conquered double play, earning a 1-0 lead before heading to the individual format. There, only Junior Laure-Anne Josso (Vannes, France) and sophomore Lara Scholtze (Bod Hamburg, Germany) earned points for Chestnut Hill College, who fell to the Hawks by a 5-2 final.
 
The team flights ended in reverse order with St. Joseph's University defeating Chestnut Hill College (13-9) at number three doubles, 6-0, number two doubles, 7-5, and number one doubles, 6-4. The Hawks clinched the match with the first two wins of singles play as they captured the number four singles flight 6-0, 6-1, and ended the sixth individual match soon after, 6-3, 6-1. They would also win the fifth singles match 6-1, 6-0, before Scholtze broke the shutout with her 6-2, 1-6, 11-9, triumph at number two singles. Josso made it 4-2 with her 6-2, 6-7 (2-7), 10-8, victory at number one singles, leaving the Hawks' 1-6, 6-0, 6-4 win at number three singles as the final point of the match, 5-2.
 
The women's tennis team concludes their regular season schedule on Thursday, April 21, when they join the men to host Millersville University in a 2:30 p.m. dual match.
