Unfortunately, both tallies came in response to a Charger score, only the Griffins did not have an answer for the home team's final tally, which came 3:39 seconds into overtime. Junior midfielder

Dominican College (3-5, 2-1) controlled the early play and eventually was first on the scoreboard with a 28
th-minute connection (1-0 at 27:18). Chestnut Hill College (1-6, 0-4) increased their intensity in reply. The result was a successful corner kick restart for Casaletto, who located Gray for his first goal of the season at 39:35 (1-1).
After intermission the Chargers wasted little time regaining their advantage as a cross into the Griffins' box found its way to the lower left corner of the net with a successful strike from junior forward Fernando Gutierrez (Mexico City, Mexico) at 49:23 (2-1). The Scarlet and Gold answer began with a shot from sophomore forward
Jason Doherty (Letterkenny Donegal, Ireland) at 54:08, but the prize would not manifest until twenty minutes later, when Simpson pinpointed Bruhn the equalizer - his first collegiate goal – at 75:05 (2-2).
Unfortunately, the contest was decided on the first shot of the overtime frame; a cross to the head of Gutierrez that beat senior goalkeeper
James Jackson (Sewell, N.J.) at 93:39. It was the fifth shot for Gutierrez, who led the Chargers in a 22-15 shot advantage. Two others recorded four shots each while senior goalkeeper Steven Hegner (Ponoma, N.Y.) earned the win (3-5) with five saves.

Vini Brito (Sao Paulo, Brazil) each recorded three shots for Chestnut Hill College, but Doherty led the Griffins with four attempts off the bench. Jackson (1-6) totaled eight saves.
The Chestnut Hill College men's soccer team continues their CACC schedule on Wednesday, September 28, when they begin a four-game home stand with a 4:30 p.m. contest versus Goldey-Beacom College.
