Domoree Hill (Bethlehem, Pa.) were the only scoring Chestnut Hill College was able to muster in this evening's 52-12 Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) final at Army West Point. The Black Knights scored on all but one first-half possession and limited the Griffins to 194 yards of total offense in the affair. Kyle Johnson-Hackett (Philadelphia, Pa.) combined for 11 tackles and 1.5 sacks.
The run-pass combo of Junior quarterback Keegan West (West Point, N.Y.) and sophomore running back Jake Gigliotti (Yorba Linda, Calif.) dominated the first half of the contest. West found junior wide receiver Mike Shannon (Bowie, Md.) for the first Army West Point (5-0, 5-0) touchdown – a 55-yard pass – on the third play from scrimmage, 7-0 (13:51 1QTR). Their next possession produced a field goal (10-0 @ 11:27 1 QTR), and the third saw West find sophomore wide receiver Tom Williamson (Dallas, Texas) for a 59-yard touchdown reception, 17-0 (7:51 1QTR). Gigliotti added a fourth Army score before the end of the first quarter (2:47 1QTR) to advance the deficit to 24-0. It reached 45-0 by 5:43 of the second quarter. The ensuing Chestnut Hill College (1-3, 1-3) scoring drive began with a three-yard Penson run, continued with a 16-yard pass to Hill, and concluded with a 62-yard connection between Navas and Hill, 45-6 (3:54). The Scarlet and Gold scored again late in the fourth quarter (00:26) on a one-yard Navas-Hill score, 52-12.
Gigliotti rushed for 182 yards on 20 carries (9.1 yards/carry) for the Black Knights, while West completed 13-of-16 (81.3%) passes for 229 yards and three touchdowns. Williamson finished with five receptions for 85 yards, but senior wide receiver Dexter Penick (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) caught a team-high seven balls for 54 yards. Army totaled eight sacks, sophomore defensive back Connor Long (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) recorded one of them and led the Black Knight defense with five tackles.
Navas completed 17-of-34 (50.0%) for 198 yards; 120 of them went to Hill and the rest was split among sophomore wide receiver
Jonathan Barber (Brooklyn, N.Y.) (six receptions for 25 yards), junior wide receiver
Reginald Robinson Jr. (Washington, DC) (three receptions for 45 yards), and freshman tight end

RahSaan Hayes (Woodbury, N.J.) matched Mitchell in tackles with six of his own. Four others, including Johnson-Hackett, took part in five tackles apiece.
