Box Score Waterbury, Conn. - (10/28/2017) – Chestnut Hill College surpassed their highest single-game point total for the second game in a row and evened their Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) record at 3-3 with tonight's 56-14 triumph at Post University. The Griffins were dominate in every facet of the affair, producing a pair of 100-yard rushers in a 342-yard ground game, receiving three touchdown passes from sophomore quarterback Michael Marino (Blue Bell, Pa.), and totaling seven sacks in a solid defensive effort against the Eagles.
 
After a scoreless first quarter, Chestnut Hill College (3-3) gained a firm grasp on the contest with three second-quarter touchdowns. The first was a 61-yard pass to junior wide receiver Reggie Robinson Jr. (Washington, DC) (7-0, 11:25, 2QTR), the second a 19-yard pass to sophomore wide receiver Domoree Hill (Bethlehem, Pa.) (14-0, 7:14, 2QTR), and the third a 15-yard run by sophomore running back Sef Penson (Brooklyn, N.Y.) (21-0, 4:26, 2QTR).
 
Post University (0-6) scored their first touchdown of the game on their first possession of the second half with a nine-yard rush from freshman wide receiver Devin Givens (New Orleans, La.), 21-7 (12:39, 3QTR). But the Eagle score was significantly overshadowed by successive Scarlet and Gold third-quarter touchdowns by Robinson (28-7, 9:05, 3QTR), sophomore wide receiver Jonathan Barber (Brooklyn, N.Y.) (35-7, 6:50, 3QTR), and junior running back Raevon Floyd-Bennett (Union City, N.J.) (42-7, 00:15, 3QTR). Another 14-7 Chestnut Hill College edge in the fourth quarter pushed the final spread to 56-14.
 
Sophomore running back Khaliq Little (Brooklyn, N.Y.) led the Eagle ground game with 82 yards on six carries (13.7 yards/carry). Out of four throwers, sophomore quarterback David Mosley (Bridgeton, N.J.) had the most success with 75 yards on 5-of-9 (55.7) passing, while Givens was Post University's primary target with 78 yards on five receptions (15.6 yards/reception). Freshman defensive back Tyson Harris (New Britain, Conn.) led the Eagles with eight tackles.
 
Penson and Floyd-Bennett both rushed for over 100 yards; the former totaled 164 yards and scored once on 17 carries (9.6 yards/carry), while the latter gained 114 yards and scored his touchdown on 19 carries (5.9 yards/carry). Marino totaled 129 yards passing on an 8-for-17 (47.1%) effort. Sophomore wide receiver Joe Lee (Horsham, Pa.) led the Griffins in receptions with four (32 yards, 8.0 yards/carry), while Robinson totaled a team-high 79 yards on two catches (39.5 yards/carry). Senior defensive lineman Josean Perez (Bethlehem, Pa.) led the Scarlet and Gold defense with seven tackles and a half sack.
 
The Chestnut Hill College sprint football team returns to A.A. Garthwaite Stadium on Friday, November 3, when they conclude their 2017 season with a 7:00 p.m. CSFL Senior Day game opposite Franklin Pierce University.
