Michael Marino (Blue Bell, Pa.) completed 8-of-11 (72.7%) passes for 152 yards and a touchdown – an 11-yard scoring reception from sophomore wide receiver

Mansfield University (0-4, 0-2) scored on their second play from scrimmage; a 59-yard hook up between junior quarterback Adam Hutchinson (Watertown, N.Y.) and freshman wide receiver Jeff Bagwell (Neptune, N.J.), 6-0 (14:01, 1QTR). But Chestnut Hill College (1-2, 1-2) scored on their ensuing possession, a drive that included eight straight Penson runs, the last was a 12-yard touchdown run that was followed by a successful extra point from sophomore kicker

Desantae Callis (Folsom, Pa.) who carried the rock for the last 17 yards; a three-play effort that concluded with a four-yard scoring plunge, 14-6 (11:58, 2QTR). The Griffins scored on their next possession too, a 55-yard, 11-play drive that paired passes to Hill and sophomore wide receiver
Jonathan Barber (Brooklyn, N.Y.) with 15 yards of rushing from Marino and Penson, 21-6 (3:45, 2QTR).
After halftime, Mansfield University used good field position to score their second touchdown of the afternoon, 21-12 (11:21, 3QTR). From there, the scoring stalled until the fourth quarter, where the Scarlet and Gold recorded a safety at 11:36 (23-12) and Marino hooked up with Hill at 5:58 (30-12). A late home score reduced the final to 30-18.
Junior Adam Hutchinson (Watertown, N.Y.) and freshman Nick Cherasaro (North Plainfield, N.J.) split time behind center. Hutchinson threw for more yards (140 yards) and two touchdown, but Cherasaro had the more efficient passing performance with 11 completions on 17 attempts (11-fo-17, 64.7%).
Penson averaged 4.0 yard-per-carry en route to career-highs in yards and scores as today's tallies stand as the first two of his collegiate career. Callis finished with 53 yards (17 carries, 3.1 yards/carry) of rushing in addition to his touchdown.
