Wilmington, Del. - (12/3/2017) – Day three of the Wildcat DII/DIII Invitational paired Chestnut Hill College (19-20) in the first match with Mount Aloysius College as the third and fourth seeds. The Mounties took an early 2-0 lead on the Griffins, but after making some adjustments the Scarlet and Gold pulled off three straight wins. Game six resulted in a tie. The Griffins won game seven by a 187-173 final. Sophomore
Rebeccah Edelman (Oakford, Pa.) filled 13/14 frames and Freshman
Kristina Scimone (Gibbsboro, N.J.) filled 12/14 frames this match. The win moved them up to play the #2 seed, Kutztown Unuversity.

Against the Golden Bears, the Griffins jumped out to a 1-0 lead winning the first game 191-179. They dropped the next three games before making some changes and winning game five. Ultimately, Kutztown University did a better job of filling frames and win the best-of-seven in game six. Scimone filled 11/12 frames and sophomore
Stephanie Brogna (Morganville, N.J.) jumped in to fill 4/4 frames.

The loss to Kutztown University dropped Chestnut Hill College into the 3-4 match again in another rematch versus Mount Aloysius College. This match went back and forth with Chestnut Hill College winning the first one and the Mounties winning the next two. The Griffins fought back to take the lead three games to two, before losing game six. In game seven, both teams struggled to fill frames but ultimately the Griffins got the job done with a 153-138 win. Edelman lead the team with 12/14 frames filled.

The Griffins finished the event in third place, behind first place Adelphia University (13-0) and second place Kutztown University (8-5). Chestnut Hill College finished 11-2 bringing their season record to 19-20.
