Box Score | Philadelphia, Pa. - (10/12/2018) – With their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) season quickly coming to a close, Chestnut Hill College traveled down Henry Avenue to visit Jefferson for this afternoon's league match. The Lady Rams grabbed an early advantage with a sweep of doubles play (1-0) and used their momentum to clinch (4-1), before a pair of Griffin singles wins closed out competition, 4-3. Senior

Barbara Broville (Toulouse, France) respectively earned the Scarlet and Gold's points with wins at number four (6-3, 6-3), number six (8-4), and number two (6-2, 5-7, 7-6 (7-3)) singles.
In what was a pivotal match for CACC playoff contention, Jefferson (5-5, 3-4) grabbed the advantage over Chestnut Hill College (2-5, 2-5) with three straight doubles wins. They first claimed the middle team flight (6-1), before clinching the point with a win at number three (6-2), and completing the sweep with a 7-5 win at number one (1-0). The Lady Rams added to their lead with the first point of singles play; a 6-1, 6-1, win at number three (2-0). Thankfully, Bellon interrupted the run with her 6-3, 6-3, win at number four (2-1). But, the Scarlet and Gold success was short lived as Jefferson soon clinched the match with consecutive wins at number one (6-2, 6-2) and number five (6-1, 6-0) singles (4-1). Afterwards, Vassalluzzo and Broville –who endured in a highly competitive match - closed the final gap with their respective wins at number six (8-4), and number two (6-2, 5-7, 7-6 (7-3)) singles (4-3).
Chestnut Hill College returns to the Campus Courts on Sunday, October 14, to host Wilmington University and close out their CACC schedule with a 12:00 p.m. Senior Day match.
