Pleasantville, N.Y. - (11/10/2018) – Chestnut Hill College spread their offense around in tonight's contest against Pace University not just one person had the hot hand, but a collaborative effort from everyone aided in the victory. In the first half, the Griffins trailed the Setters by only four points (28-32), but they rallied together in the second half and pulled out the 87-77 final. Junior guard Billy Miller VI (Pine Hill, N.J.) headlined with 19 points and senior guard Liban Awl (Manassas, Va.), freshman forward Keyon Butler (Chester, Pa.), and Senior forward Ed McWade (Wildwood, N.J.) all contributed double-digits figures win.

Pace University (0-1) had a slight early edge on Chestnut Hill College (1-0) throughout the first period of play. The Griffins were within one point (9-10) after an Awl jumper at 14:06, but a nine-point run by the Setters extended their lead to ten points (9-19, 11:36).  Butler's attempt to interrupt the run with a layup at 10:32 (11-19), only mildly slowed down Pace University as they maintained their 10-point lead with 5:11 (20-30) left. The two teams battle back-and-fourth until a three pointer by Awl followed by points from Butler, freshman forward Amir Warrick (Washington, DC), and Pitts pushed the Scarlet and Gold past their opponent by one point (49-48). Chestnut Hill College maintained their lead throughout the remainder of the half, stretching their margin to as much as 10 points, resulting in the 87-77.
