Jesus Darias
Box Score | Wilmington, Del. - (2/11/2018) – The 2017-2018 season resumed today, Sunday, February 11, for the Chestnut Hill College men's tennis team, who traveled down 95 South to play the University of Delaware at DuPont Country Club. The Blue Hens swept the opening round of doubles play and earned victories in all but number four singles to win the match by a 6-1 final. Freshman Jesus Darias (Bolivar, Venezuela) reported the Griffins' lone point, winning the number four singles match 6-3, 6-2.

The University of Delaware (3-2) won the doubles matches in order and all by a spread of 6-3. A 6-1, 6-4 final at number five singles pushed the Blue Hens' lead over Chestnut Hill College (2-1) to 2-0 before Darias put the Griffins on the scoreboard. Unfortunately, the University of Delaware was able to clinch the victory soon after, posting respective 6-2, 6-3, and 7-5, 6-2, wins at number six and number two singles that rendered marathon wins in the number three  (6-1, 4-6, 6-2) and number one (6-3, 3-6, 6-4) flights inconsequential.

The Chestnut Hill College men's tennis team opens their home slate for the season on Sunday, March 4, when they welcome ASA College to campus for a 12:00 p.m. match.
