Box Score Bronxville, N.Y. - (10/5/2019) – Today's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) engagement brought Chestnut Hill College to Concordia College (NY) for a late-morning match. By the conclusion of the affair, the Clippers remained unbeaten on the season as they disposed of the Griffins by a 6-1 measure. The Scarlet and Gold scored their only point of the match at number three singles, where freshman Carlota Garcia Arguelles (Madrid, Spain) interrupted Concordia College's shutout with an arduous 7-6 (5), 7-6 (5), victory.
 
Concordia College (6-0, 5-0) took the doubles point (1-0) with back-to-back wins in the third (6-0) and second (7-5) flights. Afterwards, Chestnut Hill College (4-4, 3-2) spoiled their sweep as seniors Mia Covic (Novi Sad, Serbia) and Barbara Broville (Toulouse, France) won the top team flight by a narrow 7-6 (5) measure. In singles play, leadoff Clipper wins at number two (7-5, 6-1) and number one (6-3, 6-2) singles put the Griffins in a 3-0 hole. With their backs against the wall, they denied demise for only a short while as Garcia Arguelles' win at number three singles cut the score to 3-1 before Concordia College concluded the match with consecutive wins at number four (6-0, 6-0), number five (6-0, 6-2) and number six (6-1, 6-0) singles.
 
Chestnut Hill College continues their CACC schedule on Wednesday, October 9, when they visit the University of the Sciences (USciences) for a 6:00 p.m. match.
