Erik Jorsal (Mudgeeraba, Australia) added the match-clincher with his 6-2, 6-0, victory at number four singles.
Chestnut Hill College (9-3, 1-0) took the team matches in numerical order as Jorsal and freshman
Tom Pitchley (London, England) settled number one doubles, 6-2, before Scarlet and Gold victories followed in the second (6-2) and third flight (7-5) as juniors
Antoine Gautier (Bordeaux, France) and
Adam Gavin (Gothenburg, Sweden) scored the point at number two, before sophomore
Jesus Darias (Bolivar, Venezuela) and freshman
Kai Adler (Leer, Germany) closed the round with a 7-5 win, 1-0.
Gavin's 6-0, 6-1, win at number six singles led off the scoring in the individual competition, 2-0. Clinching wins came next from Gautier and Jorsal, who respectively won the third (6-0, 6-1) and fourth (6-2, 6-0) solo flights, 4-0. USciences (2-4, 0-1) broke the shutout with a 6-4, 6-2, win at number one singles, 4-1. Afterwards, Adler and Gavin respectively took down number five (6-3, 6-4) and number two (7-5, 6-2) singles, 6-1.
Chestnut Hill College returns to the Campus Courts on Saturday, March 23, when they host Le Moyne College in a 12:00 p.m. match.
