Bronxville, N.Y. - (5/12/2019) – A successful 2018-2019 season came to a close today, Sunday, May 12, for #4 Chestnut Hill College, who dropped a 4-0 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II East Regional Championship Tournament Final to #1 Concordia College (NY). The Clippers scored the doubles point with matching 6-2 wins in the first and second flights, then clinched the postseason bracket with individual victories at number two (6-3, 6-3), number one (6-3, 7-5), and number three (7-6 (7-2), 6-3) singles.

The end was not far behind in the second flight, where juniors Antoine Gautier (Bordeaux, France) and Adam Gavin (Gothenburg, Sweden) fell by the same 6-2 margin. Chestnut Hill College (18-7) looked to recover in singles play, but were unable to gain any ground with Concordia College (17-3). The Clippers continued their success with consecutive singles wins and two, one, and three singles, posting respective individual wins over sophomore Jesus Darias (Bolivar, Venezuela), Pitchley, and Gautier.
