Morgan Orloski (Bethlehem, Pa.) (2-of-2, 1.000 3PT) overcame the Golden Falcons late in the affair as a 26-17 Scarlet and Gold fourth quarter separated the Griffins from a 58-57 third-quarter spread.
Chestnut Hill College (4-11, 3-3) and Felician University (2-11, 1-5) were neck-and-neck in a competitive first quarter that saw a four consecutive points from sophomore forward
Bri Hewlett (North Wales, Pa.) give the Griffins a 14-10 (4:15) advantage. Less than a minute later, the Golden Falcons tied the affair at 16-16 (3:27) with a three-point basket from freshman guard Kiera Dunhill (Perth, Australia). A fastbreak from junior guard
Cassie Sebold (Willow Grove, Pa.) gave Chestnut Hill College the late edge, 18-16 (2:43), but a Dunhill jumper kept all things even, 18-18 (2:13), heading to the second quarter. There, Miller and Crim championed the Scarlet and Gold to a narrow 31-30 (2:51) lead before Felician University forged ahead for a 36-31 halftime advantage.
The Golden Falcons made the most of their halftime lead as they paced the Griffins through the third quarter and held a slight 58-57 lead heading to the fourth quarter. Orloski made the difference there as she hit a layup and a pair of three pointers in a 10-5 run that flipped the contest in Chestnut Hill College's favor; 67-63 (6:44). Afterwards, the Griffins briefly surrendered the lead once, 69-68 (5:15), before a pair of jumpers from freshman forward
Lindsey Lane (Havertown, Pa.) spirited the Griffins for a 14-7 closing run; 83-75 (0:09).
Five Golden Falcons finished in double figures; senior guard Taliyah Brisco (Cambria Heights, N.Y.) led the group with 14 points, four rebounds, an assist, and two steals. Freshman forward Brianna Lee (Spring Valley, N.Y.) and junior guard Tania Scott (Newark, N.J.) scored 12 points apiece. The former also recorded 10 rebounds to complete her double-double effort. Freshman guard Tiara Mahorn (Irvington, N.J.) and Dunhill each had 11 points.
Miller's 21 points are a career-high. She was 7-of-17 (.412) from the field and 7-of-8 (.875) from the free throw line, while making two blocks and a steal for the Scarlet and Gold defense. Crim scored 18 points with three, three-point baskets (3-of-5, .600), Orloski hit two from long range (2-of-2, 1.000) in a season's best 12-point performance. Sophomore guard
