Bronxville, N.Y. - (2/1/2020) – Chestnut Hill College started strong and finished stronger in today's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest as they led Concordia College (NY) by six points at the end of the first quarter, 23-17, and outscored the Clippers 33-14 in the fourth. At its conclusion, the contest settled in the Griffins' favor; 88-77, thanks to 22 points from junior guard
Cassie Sebold (Willow Grove, Pa.) and a career-high 21 points from sophomore guard
Morgan Orloski (Bethlehem, Pa.). The Scarlet and Gold hit 50.0% (31-of-62) of their shots and outrebounded the Lightning by a 45-36 margin.

Bri Hewlett (North Wales, Pa.) worked the glass and ignited Chestnut Hill College (8-13, 7-5) for an 11-0 run late in the first quarter. The Scarlet and Gold streak started with a three pointer from sophomore guard
Lauren Crim (Warrington, Pa.) (13-11, 4:09) and saw four points apiece from Orloski and freshman forward
Lindsey Lane (Havertown, Pa.) before providing the Griffins a 19-13 (2:10) edge. Chestnut Hill College held the same six-point advantage at the end of the opening frame (23-17, 0:20) and kept the Lightning at a distance until the closing minutes of the second quarter. They pulled even, 35-35, with 2:46 remaining, but failed to convert a series of free throws while the Griffins separated for a 43-39 halftime spread.
In the second half, Chestnut Hill College held Concordia College (NY) off for the first two-plus minutes of the third quarter (47-47, 7:34). The Lightning used the rest of the frame to establish an 11-point, 63-52 (1:25), lead. Hewlett knocked three points off the difference by hitting a three pointer with 51 seconds (55-63, 0:51) left to play in the third quarter and in the fourth and final frame the Griffin carried out their comeback a series of long range baskets from Crim (9:33, 2:50), Sebold (8:56, 6:12), and Orloski (5:16, 3:50) that allowed Chestnut Hill College to recover for the 11-point (88-77) victory.
The Clippers' starters combined for 71 of their 77 points. Freshman guard Christina Brown (Ardmore, Pa.) and junior forward Shanice Graves (Brooklyn, N.Y.) recorded 18 points apiece. They were helped by sophomore guard Sara Hopkins (Mountain Top, Pa.), who totaled 14 points, six rebounds, eight assists, a block, and a steal. Senior guard Nicole Nicholson (Staten Island, N.Y.) was the fourth Lightning in double figures; she finished with 13 points in excess of six rebounds, three assists, and four steals.
The Griffins hit six of their nine (9-of-25, .360) three-point baskets in the fourth quarter. Orloski (3-of-5, .600) and Crim (3-of-8, .375) hit three, three pointer apiece; the former also hit both of her free throws (2-of-2, 1.000), grabbed five rebounds, and handed out an assist in her third double-digit scoring performance of the season. The latter finished with 11 points, three rebounds, one assists, one block, and one assist. Sebold was 2-of-6 (.333) from long range. Rachael Millan (Huntingdon Valley, Pa.) chipped in a dozen (12) points, eight rebounds, and seven assists, while Lane offered 10 points, six rebounds, two assists, and four steals.
