Cassie Sebold (Willow Grove, Pa.) capped a 10-2 Scarlet and Gold run that opened the second half with a pair of free throws (48-39, 7:05) and a drive to the bucket; 50-39 (4:33). Chestnut Hill College finished the third quarter of today's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest at Bloomfield College with a 14-point lead, 62-48 (0:00), before eventually defeating the Bears by a 77-71 (0:02) margin. Sebold led three Griffins in doubles figures with 24 points; she hit a career-high six three-point shots (6-of-10, .600) and made both of her free throws (2-of-2, 1.000), while also recording four rebounds and eight assists.
Bloomfield College (4-21, 3-13) narrowly led Chestnut Hill College (10-14, 9-6) through a majority of the first two quarters. The Griffins trailed the Bears by their largest margin at the start of the second quarter, falling behind by seven points, 21-14 (9:41), on an opening three-point basket and remained down by the same spread, 27-20, after the first of two free throws from sophomore center
Leah Miller (Punxsutawney, Pa.) with 6:32 remaining in the first half. Following Miller's second free throw, the Scarlet and Gold seized the momentum as they tied the Bears at 30-30 with 3:14 left to play, and beat them to a 40-37 (0:07) halftime spread thanks to a three-point basket from sophomore guard
Lauren Crim (Warrington, Pa.) (38-37, 1:14) and a drive and dish lay-in from Sebold to Miller; 40-37 (0:07).
The Griffins' 10-2 opening run gave them a nine-point, 48-39, advantage with 7:05 remaining in the third quarter. A layup from sophomore guard
Morgan Orloski (Bethlehem, Pa.) pushed the Chestnut Hill College advantage to a game-high 14 points, 57-43 (1:17), just before the final minute of the frame and a Crim three-point buzzer beater returned it there for the start of the fourth quarter; 62-48 (0:00). In the fourth quarter, the Scarlet and Gold kept the Bears at bay, holding a double-digit advantage, 69-59, with 4:46 remaining in the affair and sustaining the home team's fleeting rally in a 77-71 (0:02).
Freshman guard Kayla Sykes (Egg Harbor Township, N.J.) led Bloomfield College with a 14-point, 10-rebound double-double. She also recorded four assists and a steal. Sophomore forward Jaylah Bennett (Newark, N.J.) supported with 11 points and four rebounds, but the Bear's offense ran through freshman forward Dashanique Ruffin (Paterson, N.J.), who totaled eight points, eight rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
It was Sebold's fifth straight double-digit game and her third 20-plus venture in the stretch. She was well supported by 19 points, eight rebounds, four assists, three blocks, and a steal from Miller. Crim finished with 10 points, four rebounds, and four assists. Sophomore forward

Lindsey Lane (Havertown, Pa.) all offered quality numbers; the first came off the bench for eight points, three rebounds, and three assists, the second offered four points, six rebounds, two assists, and two steals, and the last contributed eight points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
