The Chestnut Hill College Women's Volleyball team won their third consecutive match, striking down the Goldey-Beacom College Lightning 3-0 Thursday night at Sorgenti Arena.
The Griffins improve to 5-11 overall and 2-7 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference games. The Lightning drop to 7-14 overall and 3-8 in league play.
Junior Right Side hitter
Henielys Ramos again led the Griffins, recording 17 kills. Freshman outside hitter
Erika Dubosky added 10 kills and had 12 digs on defense for her seventh double-double of the season and fourth in CHC's last five matches. Senior hitter
Lauren Lipinski added four service aces. Sophomore setter
Mia Caporellie recorded 37 assists setting up the Griffin offense.

Venessa Caballero led the team with 19 digs joining Dubosky in double figures. Senior middle hitter
Leah Miller had three blocks to lead all players.
Chestnut Hill led wire-to-wire in the first set, jumping out to an early 8-4 lead. The Lightning closed within two twice before a kill from Lipinski gave the Griffins a 18-14 lead. Lipinski then took over serving duties and the Griffins ran off five straight points to lead 23-14 before the Lightning broke the run wiuth a kill of their own. An attack error by Goldey-Beacom followed before Dubosky put down a kill to give the Griffins a 25-15 win iand an early 1-0 lead in the match.
Goldey-Beacom jumped out ot an early 9-7 lead but Chestnut Hill swung the momentum the other way with an 8-2 run to lead 15-11. Dubosky and Ramos each contributed two kills to the effort. The Lightning rallied to tie the game at 17-17 before kills from Lipinski and Dubosky put the Griffins back up by two 19-17. GBC could pull no closer than one down the stretch as the Griffins held on to win 25-23 and take a 2-0 lead in the match.
The Lightning held an early lead again in the third set, 8-6 before the Griffins, with Lipinski serving rallied for seven straight points fueled by four Goldey-Beacom attack errors, kills from Caporellie and Dubosky and an ace from Lipinski herself to top off the run and give the Griffins a 13-8 lead.  The Lightning closed within two, 18-16 but a kill and a service ace from Ramos pushed the Griffin lead back up to four. Three rallies later Lipinski notched her fourth ace of the match to give the Griffins a 22-17 lead. Goldey-Beacom again closed within two at 23-21 before the Griffins closed out the match with a kill from sophmore middle hitter
Angela April and an ace from Dubosky, completing the three set sweep, 25-21.
The Chestnut Hill Women's Volleyball Team returns to action on Saturday, October 23, 2021 when they host Felician College at Sorgenti Arena. Tipoff is set for 10:00 a.m.
