The Chestnut Hill women's volleyball team played back-to-back road games for the first time early September, facing Post University in Waterbury, Connecticut less than 24 hours after playing at University of the Sciences. The Griffins struggled offensively but kept the score close throughout the first two sets before falling to the Eagles, 3-0 (24-26, 21-25, 17-25).
The Griffins fall to 7-17 overall and 4-13 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) games. Post improves to 10-19 overall and 7-10 in league play.
Mikayla Grimes led the Griffins with eight kills while
Henielys Ramos added seven.
Erika Dubosky and
Lauren Lipinski added six kills apiece and
Angela April chipped in five to round out Chestnut Hill's offensive attack.
Mia Caporellie had 22 assists setting the Griffins offense. Ramos had three service aces while Lipinski had two and
Kerri Sullivan one.
On the defensive end, Ramos led the Griffins with ten digs with Dubosky recording nine and Caporellie eight. April had three blocks while Lipinski recorded two.
The Chestnut Hill Women's Volleyball Teams returns to the friendly confines of Sorgenti Arena for their final match on Saturday, November 13, 2021 when they host Nyack College. The match will mark Senior Day for three CHC seniors, Lipinski, Sullivan and
Vanessa Caballero who will be playing in their final match as a Griffin. Senior Day accolades will commence prior to the match which is slated to start at noon.
