Wednesday's contest will be the eighth meeting between these two teams. Bloomsburg leads the all-time series 4-3. Bloomsburg won the last time the two teams met, beating the Griffins 101-88 at Bloomsburg on 11/19/2019. The Griffins last win against the Huskies came on 11/8/2013 a 68-62 triumph at Sorgenti Arena.

The Griffins enter tonight's game with an 0-2 record, having lost two close contests at the East Region Challenge in Pleasantville, New York. An Impressive Debut
Nigel Haughton made his Chestnut Hill College debut in the Griffins' season opener against Adelphi, scoring 24 points. The Towson University transfer connected on 10 of 12 shots from the field, including one three-point basket. Haughton also grabbed five rebounds and recorded three assists and two steals. He added 12 points and seven rebounds the next day in a 66-61 loss at Pace University.
Haughton Named to CACC Weekly Honor Roll
Nigel Haughton was named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll for his performance in the Griffins two games last week.
Haughton, in his Chestnut Hill College debut, scored 24 points on 10-12 shooting from the field as the Griffins were narrowly defeated by Adelphi University, 78-74 at the east Region Challenge on Saturday. The sophomore guard also had five rebounds, three assists and two steals.
On Sunday, against host of the East Region Challenge, Pace University, Haughton added 12 points and seven rebounds in a 66-61 loss.
For the week, Haughton averaged 18.0 points per game, 6.0 rebounds per game, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game. He shot 56% from the field (14-25); 50% from beyond the arc (3-6) and 62.5% from the free throw line. (5-8).
An Impressive Debut- Part II
Freshman
Joseph Iraldi made eight of 11 shots from the field en route to 19 points in his collegiate debut Saturday against Adelphi. The following day, Iraldi made seven of 14 shots including three three-point baskets as he led the Griffins with 17 points in their 66-61 loss at Pace. Iraldi shot 56% from the field in the two games and 50% from beyond the arc (5-10). He also grabbed nine rebounds in the two games.
Scouting the Huskies
The Huskies, under the direction of head coach
John Sanow, are back to action after a layoff in 2020-21 and after finishing 11-17 for the 2019-20 season and 8-14 in PSAC East play. During the 2019-20 season, the Huskies averaged 82.3 points per game and shot 46.6% from the field.
During the 2019-20 campaign, the Huskies were ranked third in the PSAC in scoring offense and had the fourth-best shooting percentage in the conference.
The Huskies had the third-best rebounding offense, averaging 39.1 rebound per game in 2019-20 and averaged 27.3 defensive rebounds per game.
