Philadelphia, Pa. - (9/21/2021) - A slow start put Chestnut Hill College (2-5) behind early in the first set. Shippensburg University (5-7) took advantage and grabbed a 1-0 lead with a 25-19 victory. In the second set, was close until the final stretch where a 6-2 Raider run secured the frame for the visitors, 25-22. The Scarlet and Gold paced Shippensburg University to a 21-21 third-set stalemate. Unfortunately, 4-2 Raider finish sealed the set (25-23) and the match in their favor, 3-0; 25-19, 25-22, 25-23.

Senior right side Lauren Lipinski (Gilbert, Ariz.) led Chestnut Hill College with eight points (6 kills, 2 aces). Freshman Angela April (Folsom, Pa.) chipped in six points, all coming on kills. Sophomore setter Mia Caporellie (Downingtown, Pa.) provided two kills, 17 assists, three aces, and a team-high 11 digs.

Chestnut Hill College returns to their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) schedule on Thursday, September 23, when they visit Goldey-Beacom College for a 7:00 p.m. contest.
