The Chestnut Hill College Women's Tennis team saw its quest for a conference championship come to an end Saturday morning as they dropped a 4-0 decision to defending champion and top seed Wilmington University in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament Semi-finals at the Delcastle Tennis Center in Wilmington, Delaware.
The Griffins fall to 7-7 on the season with the loss.
Wilmington opened the match by winning the doubles point as
Carlota Garcia Arguelles and
Romi Meirovich dropped their match at #1 doubles and
Annika Wise and
Lottie Allin  lost at #3 doubles, both by identical 6-0 scores.
Moving onto singles, Wise faced Valentina Ivankovic at #4 singles but had to retire early in the second set, giving the Wildcats a 2-0 lead. Meirovich fell to Neus Ramos Moreno at #2 singles, 6-3, 6-2 and Carmelle Vial, the CACC Rookie of the Year defeated
Alison Isaac, 6-3, 6-3 to seal the 4-0 win.
The Chestnut Hill Women's Tennis team will play a non-conference match  on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Saint Thomas Aquinas College.
