Two bowlers on the Chestnut Hill College women's bowling team averaged over 200 in the Griffins five match traditional series at the Wildcat DII/III Invitational on Saturday at Bowlerama in New Castle, Delaware.
Maddie Gannon (Glenolden, Pa.) totaled 1033 pins for a 206.6 average while
Jess Hollabaugh (Folsom, Pa.) totaled 1022 pins for a 204.4 average. The Griffins however went 0-5 on the day in the five matches.
Eryn Moore (Bainbridge, Pa.) bowled a 223 game and Gannon added a 212 score as the Griffins lost a tough match to Mercyhurst University to open the day, 908-906. Gannon shot 227 and Hollabaugh 214 in the next match as Felician University defeated the Griffins 994-924
In the third match , Hollabaugh led the team, bowling a 234 but the Griffins fell to Molloy College, 950-873. Gannon had her second 227 score of the day in the fourth match as Daeman College beat Chestnut Hill 952-829.
Moore bowled a 204 in the final match of the day as Bloomfield College scored a 933-803 win.
The Chestnut Hill women's Bowling team will be back in action on Sunday for the final day of the Wildcat DII/III Invitational and the best of seven Baker matches. The Griffins will play New Jersey city University in the opening match on Sunday.
