The Chestnut Hill College Women's Bowling team opened the spring semester portion of their season on Saturday, hosting the Griffin Baker Classic at Bowlero, Prices Corner in Wilmington, Delaware.
Overall the Griffins finished eighth among the nine teams participating with 3, 805 total pins. Wilmington University won with 4,439 pins. All matches were Baker format. Head-to-Head the Griffins dropped all four matches.
In the opening match, Wilmington defeated Chestnut Hill 965-751.Â
Maddie Gannon filled nine of ten frames to lead the team while
Eryn Moore filled eight of ten.
Moore led the team in the second match, an 808-750 loss to Bloomfield College, filling eight of ten frames in the contest.
Molloy defeated the Griffins in the third match 917-870. Gannon and
Hope Widmer led the tem, filling nine of ten Baker format frames while Moore and
Jess Hollabaugh filled eight frames apiece. Moore recorded a strike on nine of her 15 strike attempts.
In the final match of the day the Griffins fell to Adelphi 904-758. Moore again led the team, filling nine of ten frames.
The women's bowling team will be back in action on Sunday, February 6, 2022 for Day 2 of the Baker Griffin Classic.
