The second day of the Baker Griffin Classic, hosted by Chestnut Hill College saw the Griffins win a pair of matches as the women's bowling team went 2-3 on the day.
Overall the Griffins finished eighth out of nine for the second consecutive day with a total of 3,884 pins. Adelphi University won the Tournament with 4,478 pins.
The Griffins opened the day with a narrow loss to Felician University 788-779.Â
Maddie Gannon filled all ten frames in the Baker match while
Hope Widmer filled eight of ten.
Chestnut Hill won their next match, defeating Kutztown 828-772. Gannon again had a strong match, filling nine of ten frames while
Jess Hollabaugh and
Eryn Moore each filled eight of ten.
In the third match, the Griffins again recorded a win, defeating St. Thomas Aquinas college 757-722. Hollabaugh and Moore led the way filling eight of ten frames apiece.
It was another close loss in the fourth match as Caldwell University edged the Griffins 785-775. Hollabaugh filled all ten of her frames while Gannon filled eight.
Kutztown picked up the win in the final match of the day, getting revenge for their earlier loss to the Griffins, recording an 871-745 win. Hollabaugh filled nine of ten framers and Widmer added eight of ten.
The Chestnut Hill Women's Bowling Team returns to action on Friday, February 11, 2022 at the James Brown Invitational hosted by Morgan State University at the AMF Towson Lanes in Towson, Maryland.
