Wildcats Hand Griffins second Conference Loss of the season

Madyson Schwartz scored two goals and Rexney Thenor added one as the Chestnut Hill college women's lacrosse team played their second conference game of the season Wednesday night, losing to Wilmington University 24-3.

The Griffins fall to 1-5 overall and 0-2 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference games.  Wilmington improves to 6-2 overall and 1-0 in league play.

Thenor (Burlington, N.J.) put the Griffins on the board with 9:56 left in the third period with an unassisted goal, taking the draw and running it in for the score.  Schwartz (Philadelphia, Pa.) added her first goal of the game five minutes later also unassisted.

Schwartz finished the Griffins scoring at the 9:46 mark of the fourth with her second unassisted tally of the night.

Elizabeth Bennett  (Swedesboro, N.J.) led the team with four ground balls and two caused turnovers.  Schwartz also tallied two caused turnovers. Mel Amador  (Cape May, N.J.) made five saves in goal in the loss.

The Chestnut Hill Women's Lacrosse team returns to action on Friday, March 25, 2022 with a noon contest at Felician University.
