Men's Tennis Remains Unbeaten in Conference Play with Win over USciences

Box Score The Chestnut Hill College Men's Tennis team remained perfect in conference play with a 7-0 win over University of the Sciences Tuesday afternoon at the CHC Tennis Courts in Philadelphia.
 
The win was the Griffins' seventh straight as they improve to 8-2 overall and 5-0 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference matches.  The Devils fall to 1-0 overall and 4-7 in league play.
 
In doubles competition, the Griffins swept through the competition with the #1 doubles team of Tom Pitchley and Joseph Gregory Kvint defeating Jack Kosiorowski and Eli Gan-Dy, 6-3 and Noah Cutting and Mark Gladkyy earning a 6-1 win at #2 doubles over Pedro Ramos and Brandon Gildea.  With the Devils only having five players available, no #3 doubles match was played, and the Griffins jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the match winning #6 singles by default.
 
Joao Sousa won at #4 singles, 6-2, 6-0 over Gildea to make the match score 3-0 and Gladkyy clinched the win with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Dhirav Modi at #5 singles.  Pitchley continued his solid play with a 6-2, 6-4 win at #1 singles over Kosiorowski and Kvint was a 6-0, 6-2 victor over Ramos at #3 singles.  Cutting finished off the match with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Gan-Dy at #2 singles.
 
The Griffins return to action on Saturday, April 9, 2022 with a CACC match at Dominican College.
