INDIANAPOLIS – The Chestnut Hill College Men's Tennis team has secured the No. 6 seed, in the NCAA East Regional No. 2, which takes place May 9-10 at the Southern New Hampshire University Penmen Stadium Tennis Courts, the NCAA Selection Committee announced Tuesday night when it unveiled its field of 48 teams.

The Griffins earned their seventh NCAA Tournament bid in the last nine seasons dating back to 2013 (2020 was canceled due to the pandemic)

Chestnut Hill will play No. 3 seed Queens College on Monday, May 9, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in a rematch between the two teams.  Queens defeated the Griffins 5-2 at the CHC Tennis Courts on April 16.   The winner of the match will then face No. 2 seed and host Southern New Hampshire on May 10.

The Griffins are 4-7 all-time versus Queens including a 5-2 victory over the Knights in the 2015 NCAA East Regionals.  Chestnut Hill is also 3-1 all-time vs. the Penmen.

The winning team from each site will advance to the finals, May 18-22, in Altamonte Springs, Florida. Rollins College and the Greater Orlando Sports Commission will serve as hosts.

Chestnut Hill will be looking for its sixth win in the NCAA Tournament. CHC is 5-6 all-time in the NCAA postseason. The Griffins have wins in each of their last five NCAA appearances.

This season,  the Griffins compiled an 11-5 record, shared the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Regular Season Championship and advanced to the conference final where they lost to Jefferson 4-2.
