The Chestnut Hill College Department of Athletics and Head Women's Soccer Coach
Jonathan Geist are pleased to announce their 2022 Women's Soccer schedule.
This year's 17-game schedule is fairly evenly split with nine road contests and seven of the matches being contested at either Victory Field in Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania, the home of Griffins Soccer and one at the Chestnut Hill Athletic Field.  The schedule features 12 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contests along with five non-conference games
The Griffins will open the season with a non-conference match on August 25 at LeMoyne College in Syracuse, New York before returning home to face Penn State-Abington in their home opener at Victory Field on Monday night, August 29 at 7:00 p.m. Chestnut Hill will then travel to Queens College on August 31.
Chestnut Hill will also host a non-conference match against Roberts Wesleyan College on October 4 before traveling to Lincoln University two days later for their final non-conference game on October 6. The Roberts Wesleyan match will be played on campus at the Chestnut Hill College Athletic Field. Â
The Griffins will begin conference play on September 10 with a game on the road against a new CACC foe, the University of Bridgeport. Bridgeport is beginning their first year in the league after leaving the East Coast Conference. The Purple Knights were a perennial powerhouse in the ECC and captured the NCAA Division II women's soccer national championship in 2018
Following the conference opener, the Griffins will play three straight home contests, starting with CACC runner up Wilmington University on September 13. Nyack College comes to Victory Field on September 17 and CACC regular season co-champion Dominican University on September 24. Kickoff for the Wilmington match is 7:00 p.m. while the Nyack and Dominican contests start at 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. respectively. Â
Rounding out the remaining home contests will be games against Caldwell University (10/8), defending CACC Champion Jefferson University (10/19) and Georgian Court University (10/25). Caldwell will be a noon start while the Jefferson and Georgian Court matches will start at 7:00 p.m.
The remainder of the Griffins' conference schedule includes road games at Felician University (10/1); Goldey-Beacom college (10/11); Post University (10/15) and Bloomfield College (10/22).
The conference tournament begins on October 31 with the top eight teams in the league qualifying. The quarterfinal games will be played at the higher seed host sites with the winners advancing to the semi-finals which will be hosted at Holy Family University on Friday, November 4. The CACC Championship game will be played on Sunday, November 6 at Holy Family.
