Henielys Ramos recorded her 500
th career dig in the Chestnut Hill College Women's Volleyball team's first match at the Millersville Marauder clash Friday afternoon as the Griffins fell to Frostburg State 3-1 (26-28, 25-16, 25-16, 25-19) and host Millersville followed with a 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-19) win over the Griffins.
In reaching the milestone,
Ramos (Trujillo Alto, P.R.) becomes the first player in program history to record at least 500 career kills, 500 career assists and 500 career digs.  In addition, Ramos is one of just four CACC players to achieve this triple milestone.
Ramos reached the triple milestone in the third set of the Frostburg State match and finished the match with seven digs. Ramos led the team with 17 kills while
Mikayla Grimes (Fresno, Calif.) recorded a double-double with 10 kills and 13 digs. Â
Mia Caporellie (Downingtown, Pa.) also notched a double-double with 33 assists and ten digs and led the team with three aces.Â
Erika Dubosky (Summit Hill, Pa.) led the team with 15 digs while
Torrin Kelley (Hanover, Pa.) added 11.Â
Angela April (Ridley, Pa.) had two blocks.
In the second match against host Millersville, Ramos and Dubosky led the Griffins with eight kills apiece. Dubosky also led the team along with Grimes with ten digs. Caporellie narrowly missed her second straight double-double with 28 assists and nine digs. Ramos led the team with two blocks.
The Chestnut Hill College women's volleyball team will play two more matches on Saturday at the Marauder clash, taking on Fairmont State at 11:00 a.m. and West Chester University at 5:00 p.m.
