The Chestnut Hill College Women's Tennis team came out on the short end of a hard-fought conference match against Post University on Wednesday, falling to the Eagles 4-3 at the CHC Tennis courts in Philadelphia.

The Griffins fall to 1-2 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference matches and 4-2 overall.  Post improves to 6-1 overall and 1-1 in league contests.

Chestnut Hill jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the match by winning the doubles point.  Annika Wise and Lottie Allin started things off with a 6-1 win at number three doubles and Alison Isaac and Nele Haag followed with a 7-5 win at the #2 doubles slot to secure the point.   Carlota Garcia and Romi Meirovch took their #1 doubles match to a tiebreaker before falling 7-6 (7-3).

Meirovich gave the Griffins a 2-0 lead with a 6-0, 6-1 win at #5 singles while Isaac was cruising to a win at #2 singles with an identical 6-0, 6-1 score for Chestnut Hill's third point.

The Eagles soared back with wins at #6, #4 and #1 singles to tie the match at 3-3.  Haag's match at #3 singles against Oceane Mallevre went three full sets to decide the match as Mallevre pulled out a 7-6 (10-8), 4-6, 6-3 win.
 
The Chestnut Hill College women's Tennis Team will be back in action on Friday, September 30, 2022 when they travel to face Dominican University of New York at Manny Walter Park in Muncey, New York.
