Box Score The Chestnut Hill College Women's Tennis team opened their season against Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference foe Jefferson University, falling to the Rams 6-1 at the Abraham Salman Courts on the Jefferson University campus Saturday afternoon.
The Griffins lone point in the match came as
Claudia Rasilla (Madrid, Spain) recorded a 7-5, 7-5 win over Anna Margillo at #6 singles.
Jefferson took two of the three doubles matches to start off the contest with a 1-0 lead. Chestnut Hill's lone win in doubles play came at the #2 position as
Ali Isaac (Auburn, Calif.) and
Nele Haag (Wurzburg, Germany) earned a 6-4 win over Natalie Wagner and Charly Egger.
Senior
Carlota Garcia Arguelles (Madrid, Spain) took Jefferson's top player to a tiebreaker in singles play before falling 6-3, 3-6, 0-1 (2-10) in a tiebreaker.  Likewise, Garcia Arguelles' doubles partner
Romi Meirovich (Herzeliya, Israel) also had her singles match go to a tiebreaker before falling 4-6, 7-6 (7-3), 0-1 (3-10)
The Chestnut Hill College Women's Tennis team returns to action on Saturday, September 10, 2022 when they travel to face Kutztown university. First serve is at 11:00 a.m.
