The Chestnut Hill College Women's Volleyball team dropped a hard-fought non-conference match Wednesday night, falling at West Chester University 3-0 at WCU's Hollinger Fieldhouse.
The match was a rescheduled contest from September 1, 2023, which was postponed.
The Griffins fall to 6-10 overall with the loss while the Golden Rams improve to 8-7. West Chester took the first two sets with scores of 25-20 and 25-23 before closing out the match with a 25-16 win in the third and final set.
Erika Dubosky and Mia Caporellie recorded double-doubles for the Griffins. Dubosky led all players with 15 kills while also notching 10 digs on the defensive end. Caporellie recorded 31 assists setting the Griffin offense and added 11 digs defensively. Caporellie also added one service ace to give her 112 for her career, moving into sixth place on the Griffins all-time list.
Rachel Mace added eight kills while Cha'Kya Johnson had seven. Chloe Mettille led the team with two aces.
On the defensive side, Mace led all players with 13 digs. Angela April and Johnson had three blocks apiece.
The Chestnut Hill College women's volleyball team returns to action on Sunday as they face Felician University in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference crossover match. Tipoff is set for noon.
