The Chestnut Hill College Women's Bowling team concluded their competition at the Bud Whitman Memorial Tournament on Sunday, winning once on the afternoon to finish the tournament with a 4-6 record and a tenth-place finish
Chestnut Hill is now 5-8 overall on the season.
The Griffins recorded their win in the team's second match of the day defeating Adelphi University 764-718 in Baker format match.Â
Kayleina McGonigal filled eight of ten frames while
Abbey Crumb filled seven of ten.
Kutztown University handed the Griffins a loss to start the day, 897-807.Â
Jess Hollabaugh and McGonigal filled nine of ten frames apiece.
Felician University edged the Griffins 864-846 with
Chase Clifford filling nine of ten frames and
Maddy Feldschneider filling six of six frames.
In the final regular baker match, nationally ranked Delaware State University (#23) defeated the Griffins 955-872. McGonigal led the way filling nine of ten frames for the Griffins.
The competition concluded with a best of seven baker match in bracket play. St. Anselm College defeated the Griffins 4-3. Crumb filled 11 of 12 frames while Hollabaugh filled ten of 14.
The women's bowling team returns to action on October 21-22 at the Kutztown University Invitational, held at Berks Lanes in Sinking Spring, Pa.
