The Chestnut Hill College women's volleyball team dropped a hard-fought match Thursday night at Wilmington University, falling to the Wildcats 3-1 at the WU athletic Complex in Newark, Delaware.
The Griffins fall to 7-12 overall and 6-4 in Central Atlantic Collegiate conference games. The Wildcats improve to 11-12 overall and 5-5 in league play.Â
Chestnut Hill opened the match with a 25-20 win but dropped the next three sets, 25-22, 25-18 and 25-11.
Erika Dubosky led the Griffins with 11 kills and also recorded 18 digs for her fourth consecutive double-double.Â
Rachel Mace also recorded a double-double, her third straight with ten kills and a game-high 24 digs.Â
Mia Caporellie had three aces and led all players with 35 assists.Â
On the defensive side,
Natalie Albin and
Torrin Kelley also reached double figures in digs with 20 and ten respectively.Â
Maya Hopson had six blocks while
Angela April and Caporellie had four blocks apiece.
The women's Volleyball team returns to action on Saturday, October 21, 2023 for a conference crossover match at Caldwell University. Tipoff is set for 4:30 p.m.
