The Chestnut Hill College women's tennis team played in their final home match of the 2022-23 season, losing to Jefferson University 7-0 Friday afternoon.
The Griffins drop to 9-11 overall while the Rams improve to 18-4.
Chestnut Hill dropped both doubles contests, with
Carlota Garcia Arguelles and
Romi Meirovich losing 6-2 at #1 doubles and
Nele Haag and
Alison Isaac dropping their #2 doubles match 6-4.
Playing with only five players due to injuries, the Griffins battled but lost all five singles matches. Garcia Arguelles split the first two sets of her #2 singles match with Noelle Frenzel before dropping the match via a tiebreaker 1-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-1). Haag lost to Manni Zhang 6-4, 6-2 at #3 singles and Meirovich dropped her #4 singles match to Charly Egger 6-1, 6-3. Isaac lost to Nicole Hrbkova 6-1, 6-2 at #1 singles and
Claudia Rasilla dropped her #5 singles match to Rose Huang, 6-4, 6-0.
