The Chestnut Hill College women's Lacrosse team faced one of the top teams in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference this season, Dominican University, on Saturday, falling to the Chargers 24-1.
The Griffins drop to 5-8 overall and 2-5 in league play. The chargers improve to 7-1 in conference games and 11-2 overall.
Madyson Schwartz scored the Griffins lone goal with
Danielle Vassallo earning the assist. Schwartz led the team with three shots while Danielle and
Frances Vassallo had two shots apiece.
Molly Killion had three caused turnovers and a pair of ground balls. Schwartz led the team with three ground balls and also had a caused turnover.Â

Mel Amador faced 34 shots on goal in net for the Griffins, stopping ten.
The Chargers quickly put the game into running time mode with ten goals in the first quarter. Â Dominican added three more goals and led 13-0 at the half.
Schwartz got the Griffins on the scoreboard with her 31syt goal of the season at 13:00 minute mark of the third quarter.Â

Dominican scored four more times in the third quarter and added seven more in the fourth to round out their scoring.
Grace DeStasio had six goals for the Chargers while Madelyn Grella and Erica Ortiz added five apiece. Caitlin Costello had six assists and two goals.
The women's lacrosse team returns to action on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, when they travel to face Holy Family University in northeast Philadelphia. First draw is set for 7:00 p.m.
