Chestnut Hill College Women's Bowling team member
Eryn Moore has been named to the 2022-23 PhillySIDA Academic All Area Women's At-Large Team. Moore is one of 14 student-athletes that were selected to the team. The women's at-large team is voted on by the sports information offices of 30 institutions from the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
The PhillySIDA at-large teams are made up of student-athletes representing sports that do not have their own team selected by PhillySIDA. This year's women's at large team represents athletes who participated in squash, fencing, gymnastics, water polo and bowling.
In order to be eligible for Academic All-Area, an athlete must be in his or her second year at the institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or better. A student in graduate school must have at least a 3.30 grade point average in both undergraduate and graduate school (if not in first semester of graduate program).
Moore is just the second women's bowling team member from Chestnut Hill College to be represented on the Philly-SIDA academic all-Area Women's At-large team, joining Stephanie Brogna, who was named three times (2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20).
The sophomore bowler has a 3.98 grade point average while majoring in psychology. As a freshman last season, Moore was named to the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) all-Academic team as well as the East Coast Conference Commissioners Honor Roll. She has earned Dean's List honors every semester at Chestnut Hill college and has been named to the CHC Athletic Academic Honor roll three times. She is one of two CHC bowlers to be named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate conference inaugural Women's Bowling all-Academic Team
This season Moore has played in every tournament for the Griffins and ranks third on the team in overall scoring average (17.200), Baker format scoring average (17.161), and overall frame fill percentage (73.7%). She ranks second on the team in Baker format frame fill percentage (74.0%) and fourth in traditional format frame fill percentage (74%) and traditional format scoring average (17.259). Moore ranks among the top 15 bowlers in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference in all six categories. Eryn helped lead the team to the CACC championship match and was named to the All-Tournament team this past season.
