The Chestnut Hill College Women's Lacrosse team struggled both offensively and defensively Tuesday afternoon as they dropped a 20-0 decision at Lock Haven University in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania.
The Griffins fall to 4-7 overall while the Bald Eagles improve to 4-7.
Madyson Schwartz had five of the seven shots for the Griffins as the team was outshot 30-7. Schwartz and
Frances Vassallo had CHC's only two shots on goal. Â
Mel Amador faced 21 shots on goal and had three saves over the first three quarters with
Rexney Thenor minding the net in the final period. Thenor gave up two goals and had one save.
Abigail Galazka had a game-high three caused turnovers while Schwartz added two more. Amador recorded the only other caused turnover for CHC in the game.  Amador also led the team with two ground balls.
Lock Haven scored 16 seconds into the game and added six more by the end of the period to lead 7-0, increasing it to 15-0 by halftime. The Griffins defense tightened up a bit in the second half, allowing just five goals.
The women's lacrosse team returns to action on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, when they travel to northern New Jersey to take on Alliance University.
