The Griffins improve to 12-5 overall and 7-2 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference games.

Chestnut swept the match with scores of 25-19, 25-16 and 25-20.

Erika Dubosky and Pamela Uceta led the Griffins with nine kills apiece.  Cha'kya Johnson added eight while Angela April had six on the afternoon.  Kate Hanley and Maya Hopson had four and three kills respectively.

On the defensive side, Crespin led all players with nine digs while Caporellie and April added seven and six respectively. Uceta and Hopson had two blocks apiece.

The Griffins led wire-to-wire in the opening set building a five point lead, 16-11, following back-to-back aces from Dubosky.  They lead increased to eight, 23-15 following a kill from April before the Bears closed within four 23-19.  Kills from Uceta and Dubosky closed out the set.

Bloomfield scored the first two points of the second set and led 9-7 before four straight Griffin points put the visitors back in control 11-9.  An 8-3 run by the griffins then pushed the lead to seven 19-12 and the Bears would come no closer the rest of the way, with April delivering the winning point with a service ace.

Five ties highlighted the early portion of the third set before a 6-2 Bear run gave the hosts a 15-11 lead. The lead was still four at 17-13 when the Griffins exploded with a 10-1 uprising to take a 23-18 lead.  Bloomfield scored the next two points before the Griffins closed out the set and the match with two straight scores of their own.

Kyomaris Morales led Bloomfield with eight kills.
