The Chestnut Hill College Women's Bowling team closed out their opening tournament of the season on Sunday, dropping all five Baker format matches at the CACC Match Play Tournament in Rockaway, New Jersey.
Opening the day against Holy Family, the Griffins lost 735-587. Chase Clifford and Devin Warner made 100% of their single pin spare attempts in the match.
Wilmington defeated the Griffins 903-624 in the second match of the day as Clifford continued to produce a strong effort, filling nine of ten frames and 100% of her single pin spare attempts.
Host Caldwell University beat the Griffins in the third match, 891-636. Clifford filled seven of ten frames and for the third consecutive match, made 100% of her single pin spare attempts. Rebecca Cessna also made 1005 of her single pin spare attempts.
Clifford filled seven of ten frames and Anna Coulter filled six of ten as the Griffins lost to Dominican University 911-655 in the fourth match. Taylor Graham completed 100% of her single pin spare attempts.
The Griffins produced their high score of the day in the final match but lost to Felician 911-7654. Clifford was a perfect ten-for-ten filling frames while Graham and Cessna filled seven of ten frames apiece.
The women's bowling team will resume action in January when they compete at the Northeast Invitational.
