Two Women's Volleyball Players Named to the CACC Women's Volleyball All-Academic Team

The Chestnut Hill College Women's Volleyball team placed two players on the 2024 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Volleyball All-Academic team in an announcement by the conference office Wednesday afternoon.

In order to be eligible for the CACC All-Academic Teams, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, must have been a student-athlete at their current school for at least two semesters, and must have achieved a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 or higher through the preceding semester.
 
Recognized by the CACC this year graduate student Mia Caporellie and sophomore Caroline Croteau.  Caporellie earns CACC All-Academic honors for the third time in her career while Croteau is a first time honoree.

Caporellie graduated this past May with a business administration and management degree with a minor in accounting and is currently pursuing a masters of business administration degree.  She was recently named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District ® Team for the third consecutive year, the first volleyball player in program history to achieve this honor.  In the spring of 2023, Caporellie was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, the national student athlete honor society and Sigma Beta Delta Business honor society.  She earned the SBD Leadership Award in the spring of 2024.  Caporellie was also named to the 2022 Philadelphia Academic All-Area volleyball Team.  As an undergraduate, she earned Dean's List and CHC Athletic Academic Honor roll accolades in every semester. Caporellie was also named to the inaugural CACC Academic Honor roll in the fall of 2023 and earned the honor again in the spring.

Croteau, a business administration and management major, has excelled in the classroom in her first two semesters at Chestnut Hill, earning Dean's List and CHC Athletic Academic honor Roll accolades in both semesters. Croteau was also named to the CACC Academic honor roll in both the fall and spring semesters last academic year.

Since joining the CACC for the 2007-08 season, 22 Griffin Women's Volleyball players have been named to the CACC Women's Volleyball Academic Honor Rolls a total of 54 times. Caporellie is one of 14 Griffin volleyball players to be recognized on the CACC All-Academic team three times.  Four additional players have earned CACC All-Academic Volleyball accolades twice.
