Jess Hollabaugh threw 22 strikes over three best-of-seven baker matches Sunday as the Chestnut Hill college women's bowling team finished their competition at the Mount Shootout with a 12^th place finish.

Chestnut Hill dropped all three of their bracket matches on Sunday and finished the tournament with a 2-11 record, placing 12^th out of the 16 teams competing.  Overall on the season the team is 28-40

Hollabaugh struck on 61.1% of her attempts on Sunday (22 of 36) to lead the team.  She also led the team filling 31 of 36 frames (86.1%).

The team began the first round of bracket play with a 4-2 loss to Alvernia University.  The Griffins won the first game 198-175 but dropped the next two 215-180 and 227-172 to trail 2-1 in the match.  Game four evened the score at 2-2 as the Griffins won 223-215.  Alvernia took the final two games 192-172 and 176-162 to take the match.  Hollabaugh and Chase Clifford led the team filling ten of 12 frames apiece.

Kutztown University handed the Griffins a 4-3 loss in the second round of bracket play. Chestnut Hill jumped out to an early 2-0 lead winning by scores of 202-174 and 206-183.  The Golden Bear's won game three 206-182 before the Griffins took a 3-1 lead with a 227-210 win in the fourth game.  Kutztown rallied to win three straight games, 236-169, 211-205 and 213-194 to take the match. Hollabaugh and Abigail Crumb each filled 13 of 14 frames.

In the final match of the day, Norfolk State University jumped out to an early 2-0 lead and held on for a 4-1 victory.  Chestnut Hill's lone win was in game three, 206-158.  Eryn Moore, Kayleina McGonigal and Hollabaugh led the team filling eight of ten frames apiece.

The women's bowling team returns to action on Friday, February 16 when the begin competition at the Wildcat Invitational, hosted by Wilmington University and held at Bowlerama in new castle, Delaware.
